The vehicle body is exposed to the greatest loads when driving quickly through corners, braking hard and accelerating, primarily due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force 3 times greater than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing fender brace is designed to increase the stiffness of this area of the body.
