The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during spirited driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing fender brace with 3 mounting points is designed to reduce this deformation and improve body rigidity.
