The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This can result in considerable flexing, deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these unwanted movements and increase the rigidity of the front section of the body.
