During fast driving, the vehicle’s chassis is exposed to heavy loads, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes body flex and deformation, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps limit this deformation and improve body stiffness.
