The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes chassis flex or body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps reduce this type of deformation.
