The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. It is particularly exposed to load transfer through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, load transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant chassis twisting, or deformation and torsion of the body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted body movement.
