The vehicle chassis is heavily loaded while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace is designed to increase the rigidity of the front lower chassis section on Honda CR-V III (RE) vehicles with a 2.4 engine and 4WD.
