A vehicle’s chassis is exposed to heavy loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the force on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis to twist and the body to deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area and limit unwanted body deformation.
