A vehicle’s chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant chassis flex or deformation and torsion of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis and body flexing in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this section of the body and improve vehicle responsiveness.
