The vehicle chassis is the part most exposed to loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis twisting, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support to the front section of the body. It has 2 mounting points and is intended for Kia Sportage III (SL) vehicles with 2.0D, 2.0 and 2.0 TDI engines.
