The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce body flex and twisting during dynamic driving. During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the chassis is subjected to significant loads due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis to bend and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase the rigidity of the lower part of the chassis and maintain more predictable vehicle behaviour.
