During fast driving, the vehicle’s chassis is exposed to high loads, especially due to weight transfer through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking and intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area.
