The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of bodyweight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the bodywork.
