The front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce chassis twisting and body flex under higher loads caused by fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through corners, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in greater chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps increase the stiffness of the lower chassis section and improve vehicle responsiveness.
