The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. These loads occur mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can produce forces up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes significant chassis flex or body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
