A vehicle’s chassis is among the components most heavily affected by driving style. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to increase the stiffness of this area. It features 4 mounting points.
