The vehicle’s chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the car, as it is affected by the transfer of the bodywork’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This creates significant loads, bending and twisting of the chassis, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower brace helps to further connect and stiffen the chassis around the mounting position.
