The car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In certain situations, the transfer of mass in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsional twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for the front section of the chassis and reduce its flex.
