The vehicle chassis is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass when cornering at speed, braking hard or accelerating.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional connection and reinforcement for the front section of the body. The design has 8 mounting points.
