A car’s chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these unwanted movements and provide additional body reinforcement.
