The vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the chassis to twist and the body to deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through corners can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps further stiffen the body in the mounting area.
