The chassis is the part of the vehicle that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can cause significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to provide an additional connection and reinforcement of the front section of the chassis.
