The vehicle chassis is exposed to heavy loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can create up to three times more force than on the other side. This causes the chassis to flex or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce such deformation and add rigidity to the front end of the vehicle.
