The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded components while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In certain situations, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to reduce twisting of the front lower section of the chassis.
