The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes significant twisting and bending of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flexing when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this area of the bodywork.
