The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed to reduce chassis and body flex under higher loads. This version is intended for the Toyota Camry XV70 with a 2.5 2WD 2AR-FE engine and 6-speed gearbox, and has 4 mounting points.
The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads as a result of driving conditions. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes considerable chassis flex or deformation and torsional body twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
