The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of weight when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsional twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace is designed for Toyota Corolla Cross XG10 vehicles with a 1.8 engine and 2WD, including the 1.8 2WD HYBRID version. It is mounted at 4 mounting points.
