The vehicle chassis is exposed to considerable loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This can cause significant chassis flex, or body deformation and torsional movement, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps further link the mounting points and reduce undesirable body movement.
The product is intended for Toyota RAV4 I (XA10) vehicles with a 2.0 engine and 2WD, in 2- or 4-door versions.
