A car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, hard braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and increase the stiffness of this part of the chassis.
