The vehicle body is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration due to weight transfer.
When driving through corners, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the body to twist and bend, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing inner reinforcement helps increase body stiffness and improve vehicle responsiveness.
