The car body is often exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes twisting and deformation of the body or chassis, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing interior body brace helps increase the stiffness of the structure and limit its twisting.
