The vehicle body is exposed to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant deformation, twisting of the body and loss of tyre grip.
Deformation and twisting of the body while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
