The Ultra Racing interior chassis brace with 2 mounting points is designed to increase the stiffness of the vehicle body. During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the chassis is subjected to high loads due to weight transfer through the body.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting when cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
