The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is especially evident when the weight of the body is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When weight is transferred through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This interior chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects.
