The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to increase the stiffness of the vehicle body. During fast driving, the chassis is subjected to heavy loads, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in noticeable twisting and bending of the chassis, as well as deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace helps reduce unwanted chassis movement and contributes to more predictable vehicle behaviour.
