The car’s chassis is the component subjected to the greatest loads while driving, especially due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
In some cases, mass transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can lead to significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to add stiffness to this area.
