The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the car, as it is affected by body mass transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and intense acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps further connect and stiffen the lower section of the body.
