The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the force on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps further connect and stiffen the lower section of the bodywork.
