The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress due to driving conditions. This is particularly true because of the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flex, body deformation and torsional loads, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to reduce this deformation.
