The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and intense acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can result in up to three times more force being transferred to one side than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body movement and improve vehicle rigidity.
