The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of the bodywork’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can worsen handling, for example causing understeer or oversteer. The Ultra Racing brace helps further connect and stiffen the lower part of the chassis.
