The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower brace helps reduce body twisting and improves chassis rigidity.
The brace has 2 mounting points. It is suitable for the listed versions with 1.2 2WD, 1.6 2WD and 1.6T 2WD engines.
