The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis twisting, or body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps further reinforce the chassis and reduce these effects.
