A vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant loads, flexing or deformation of the bodywork and twisting of the chassis, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these undesirable effects by providing additional support for the chassis.
