The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or sharp acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes significant chassis twisting, or body deformation and torsion, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these effects by providing additional chassis support.
