The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the car, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsional twisting, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps improve body rigidity in the mounting area.
