A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace provides additional chassis support and is designed for installation on the vehicle’s mid lower section.
