The vehicle chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body mass.
When cornering quickly, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis to bend and twist, or the body to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis bending and twisting during cornering can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer or oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps further connect the suspension mounting points and limit unwanted body deformation.
