The vehicle chassis is exposed to the greatest loads during driving, mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant twisting and bending of the chassis or body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through bends can cause unwanted driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps reduce unwanted body deformation.
