A car’s chassis is a component that is heavily loaded during driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of weight while cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to reduce these effects. It has 2 mounting points and is intended for the Toyota Yaris (XP130) with a 1.2 or 1.5 engine, 2WD and left-hand drive.
